For autism: hopes of ketosis or gluten- and casein- free diets
In recent years, dietary models have been studied in relation to autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) and some have been interested in a possible therapeutic use. The ketogenic diet (KGD) has already proven to be effective for people with a type 1 diabetes and pyruvate dehydrogenase deficiency, and more recently, this approach has been successfully used in a number of neurological disorders such as’ intractable epilepsy. In this article, the authors summarized all related scientific evidence.
