Why do not the diets work? The iatrogenic effect of cognitive restriction

Roberts and Sai Krupa Das both lead the USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at the Tufts University (Medford / Somerville, Usa). Noting how fashionable diets, television reality and willpower ultimately left the mark, the two US researchers explain that their twenty-year work is mostly in challenging “common dogmas” by opening “doors for new approaches” . In this perspective, open to new proposals and new approaches, we receive this contribution of psychologist and psychotherapist Anne Galles of the Open School Cognitive Studies in Milan.
